Human Resource Management

HR Effectiveness

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, and some people wonder what happened.

Don't be afraid to mentor others and make things happen! Continuous Team Member training and coaching produces positive results. An effective Human Resource Management program optimizes human relations and promotes operation stability. Think about all the personal and company issues that may develop in a period of eight hours. Now, consider how much productivity is lost because these issues are not addressed, nor resolved. An unresolved issue can infuse a poor attitude, a strained working rapport with others, a mood of insecurity, an outlook of mistrust, a perceived need to pursue employment elsewhere. • No company should be content with lost productivity, nor diminishing team effort. Therefore, a quality Human Resource Management program requires more than simply screening probable candidates, hiring and firing team members, record keeping, benefits administration, establishing policies & procedures, establishing performance parameters and guidelines, etc. A quality Human Resource Management program requires an attention towards developing, establishing, and maintaining affirmative human relations in order to establish cost savings and increase profitability. Bill Burda provides proven experience and expertise in establishing a quality Human Resource Management program. I customize the HR program according to the culture of the company and, of course, the requirements of state and federal agencies. Our goal is to interface with management and staff in order to develop "value-added-programs" that optimize human relations and promote operation stability, performance, and financial wellness. Employees should look forward to getting up and going to work. A quality Human Resource Management Program can accomplish this feat. Think of the companies that have established a "worth place" philosophy that is shared and practiced by its employees. You see, this philosophy manufactures a TEAM belief, a desire to assist others, a desire to perform, a desire to succeed, and a desire to grow. These companies understand the importance of HR Management. Also, if you are seeking vacation or holiday coverage for your HR Department, let Bill Burda provide this coverage. Is employee-leasing (PEO) a viable option for your company? Let me review and analyze the perceived benefits presented by a PEO arrangement. I will provide you an unbiased assessment of whether this arrangement is good or bad based on the company's operation, culture, financials, vision, etc.

Organization Development

A company's culture is established and achieved through a comprehensive management vision. The route a company takes in order to meet its financial and growth objectives will depend on the coordination and utilization of company resources. Resources are a company's greatest asset. Think about the "light bulb". What a great idea! But, the "light bulb" goes no where unless resources are available to supply the electricity to other homes and businesses. Also, resources are required to manufacture the bulbs, package the bulbs, distribute the bulbs, market and sell the bulbs. Resources will be required to collect the money for bulbs sold and to develop accounting standards for their manufacture and sale. The list goes on and on.... Organization Development is the coordination and utilization of resources in order to achieve specified outcomes. Another buzz phrase is "Team Development". Organization Development has some similar comparisons to Project Management, but Organization Development is not finite in duration, nor limited to the number of resources necessary to accomplish its objective. Organization Development is an on-going event!

Organization Development is the coordination and utilization of resources.

• Who is producing the product or delivering the service? What resources are required?

• What is required to produce the product or the service? What resources are required?

• Where is the product or service to be delivered? What resources are required?

• When is the product or service expected? What resources are required?

• Why is the product or service requested? What resources are required?

• How am I going to manage the creation of the product or service? What resources are required.

Organization Development is not accomplished without the human element; the Team Member. Team Member coordination and management are essential. Monitoring of a programs performance through visual and feedback mediums are extremely important. Gauging the success or failure of an organization is based on performance and financial benchmarks. Also, a Company's culture is derived from Organization Development. Organization Development originates at the top.
